Since Instagram caught on as a way for friends to share videoswith each other, the platforms culture is one that presumes theres a personality behind the camera. Users scrolling through their feeds are noting that Todd is having a great time in Florence and that Arlette is smitten with the reflections of boats in Sausalito harbor. The challenge for brands is to convey just as much personality as individual users. As others have noted, one of the best ways to do this is to avoid relying only on professionally lit, staged studio Instavids. A feed made up entirely of glossy, magazine-style videoswill seem out of place on a platform that took off in large part because it made crappy smartphone pics look more interesting. Clothing brand Topshop, which is aimed squarely at the teens-and-twenties demographic that has wholeheartedly embraced Instagram, gets this: brand-created videos and images like this are indistinguishable from the types of content the brands fans are taking themselves. #4Know When (And How) To this one Use Video The popularity of YouTube (oh, and TV and movies, too) demonstrates that video remains an incredibly compelling medium. Following in Vines footsteps, Instagram video has gotten on the mini-video bandwagon, and offers users the ability to upload 15-second video clips. How to use the tool effectively, though? ReelSEO has some tips here .

Adam Richman Show Pulled After Instagram Comments - TheWrap
Still waiting for a airing date for the show. Stay tune (sic) MFF fans! Last month, Richman drew outrage after he wrote a string of expletives on Instagram in response to fans criticizing his use of the hashtag #thinspiration. Also read: Why Mario Batali Bought 200 Pairs of Crocs Had ordered this suit from a Saville Row tailor over a year ago. Think I'm gonna need to take it in a little#thinspiration he wrote. When Instagram users called him out for using the term which is used in pro-anorexia circles Richman lost his cool and began lashing out. Maybe you'll acknowledge that just because someone is on TV, they are no less worthy of human kindness, respect, forgiveness or patience, he told one user. Give me a fing break. If anyone acts like a c I'll call them one. It's not misogyny, it's calling a spade a spadeif my use of the hashtag offended you, it was unintentional & for that I'm sorry. He told another Instagram user to commit suicide. Grab a razor blade and draw a bath, he wrote.

Instagram Is Facebook's Ticket To China's Advertising Market - Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) | Seeking Alpha
My Recommendation Investors who are hungry for bigger and faster yields should now prioritize Facebook over Google. Zuckerberg has a great China play with Instagram. I was already bullish on Facebook when it was trading below $59. I'm now more enthusiastic with FB's long-term potential with this new information that Instagram is thriving inside China. The Chinese smartphone market is a deep well where Instagram can earn ad money for many years to come. Google is missing this opportunity. Facebook greatly outperformed GOOG this year. I am assuming that this trend will continue until the end of 2014.
